Awakening the Church to the Horrors of Abortion: Seth Gruber’s 1916 Project
By American Faith – August 14, 2024
More than 64 million unborn babies have been killed in the United States since 1973, a crisis emanating from what pro-life advocate Seth Gruber describes as a “culture of death” in his new book and film, The 1916 Project.
Gruber is no stranger to the pro-life movement, being the son of an executive director of a pregnancy resource center. Following the overturn of Roe v. Wade, Gruber launched the pro-life ministry, The White Rose Resistance.
American Faith spoke with Gruber to discuss The 1916 Project, an initiative seeking to awaken the American Church to the silent holocaust called abortion.
When one of the most basic tenets of the United States–life–is jeopardized through abortion, the rest of America’s foundation shakes as well, Guber described, as “those who murder the unborn cannot be trusted to govern the born,” he told American Faith.
The 1916 Project analyzes Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger’s deeply-rooted hatred of Christian values as seen through abortion efforts linked to the sexual revolution and today’s puberty blockers given to gender-confused youth, cultural Marxism, and progressive initiatives aiming to undermine biblical principles.
Gruber’s book and film seek to encourage and mobilize Christians to take a bold stand against abortion.
“For too long, the Church has said, ‘We just preach the gospel, we’re not political,’” Gruber explained. He added that progressive issues have increasingly been described as simply “politics,” yet these issues have “redefined fundamentally biblical issues,” such as marriage, gender, and the sanctity of life.
Gruber hopes readers and viewers will learn how “spiritual and theological this battle has always been.”
In the book, Gruber “traces a direct path from Planned Parenthood to the Nazis to the current Democratic Party,” a synopsis reads. “Along the way, he makes stops in unexpected places, like the offices of Playboy magazine, the Wuhan Institute of Virology, and an ancient altar dedicated to the god Molech.”
Endorsed by Charlie Kirk, Kirk Cameron, Pastor Jack Hibbs, and more, Gruber claims this book will give you the resources and boldness to “stand against this culture of death.”

[Editor: The i-phone would not exist today (or probably the other iterations) if Steve Jobs Mom, after being called in, had not changed her mind. She stood and walked out the front door of the Planned Parenthood clinic instead of down the hall to the killing room where the tools of death awaited him.]
