400 Studies Showing COVID Lockdowns, Mandates Fail, Cause ‘Immense Harm’: Epidemiologist, Former U.S. Health & Human Services Senior Advisor

Epidemiologist compiles massive trove of research studies demonstrating “that Covid-19 lockdowns, shelter-in-place policies, masks, school closures, and mask mandates have failed in their purpose of curbing transmission or reducing deaths.”

- Dr. Paul Elias Alexander, an Oxford-educated epidemiologist, has compiled a long list of more than 400 high-quality studies that show Covid-19 lockdown policies and mandates are not only “ineffective and devastating failures” but also cause “immense harm especially to the poorer and vulnerable within societies.”
- “Nearly all governments have attempted compulsory measures to control the virus, but no government can claim success,” writes Dr. Paul Alexander for the Brownstone Institute, a nonprofit organization aimed at rebuilding the foundation of classical liberalism, human rights, and freedom. “The research indicates that mask mandates, lockdowns, and school closures have had no discernible impact of virus trajectories.”
- Alexander claims the benefits of coronavirus-related lockdowns and restrictions have been “totally exaggerated” and that those restrictions have actually brought severe “harms to our societies and children,” including “depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation in our young people, drug overdoses and suicides due to the lockdown policies, the crushing isolation due to the lockdowns, psychological harms, domestic and child abuse, sexual abuse of children, loss of jobs and businesses and the devastating impact, and the massive numbers of deaths resulting from the lockdowns that will impact heavily on women and minorities.”
- Dr. Alexander’s list represents the “current totality of the body of evidence” and includes comparative studies, high-level pieces of evidence, reporting, and discussions regarding Covid-19 lockdowns, masks, school closures, and mask mandates demonstrating that such measures have been “largely ineffective and caused crushing harms.”
- “There is no conclusive evidence supporting claims that any of these restrictive measures worked to reduce viral transmission or deaths,” Dr. Alexander goes on to say. “Lockdowns were ineffective, school closures were ineffective, mask mandates were ineffective, and masks themselves were and are ineffective and harmful.”
- Dr. Alexander holds degrees in epidemiology and evidence-based medicine from the University of Toronto and Oxford, and has advised in many government programs, including for the U.S. government under the Trump administration. The virus is real. We know the government funded the experiment. Taking advantage of ignorant people. This attempted takeover is not new. Just ammo in the pockets of evil people that think they can control the world. Not gonna happen in the US!
Add to this the reluctance of physicians (including my own!) to prescribe therapeutics that have worked well in other countries, and this whole mess surely looks suspicious.
