A Prayerful Cry for Help

Dear Spiritual Leader – August 1, 2022

We the people find ourselves in a quandary and need your help:

Under our watch, we American’s have allowed our Nation to turn its back on God, turning away from our founding principles and virtues. The Left’s Progressivism has infected our society, normalizing God’s absence. Nature’s God graciously blessed America with its Freedom Charters, yet we’ve moved far, far away from those founding liberties.

But it’s possible the wind is changing. People of Faith are noticing and waking up to the deceptive ‘woke’ ideology, searching in this rudderless movement for direction and spiritual strengths that comes from Nature’s God. For peace and stability found only in the union of God’s light and a civil way of life.

Stories pervade daily of the loss of religious liberties, the corruption of biology, promotion of racism and incivility, support for father-less homes, lockdowns, accepted violence, and our children’s immoral education as a brief list.

The recent win, long overdue, overturning abortion by the Court revels in God’s glory; now the fight has shifted to our states. Our places of worship are being attacked and burned in response as more secularism is demanded.

It is difficult not to be overwhelmed. We fear we are repeating the falls of Israel as noted in Old Testament scripture.

Our quest is for you to increase your advocacy and teach us from both the Bible and our Freedom Charters. Encourage us on how and why we should return this Nation to God and to the consent of the governed; a way to lock us in for the next two centuries. There is a tangible link between these two guideposts:

A Bible message: “…then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32

A Freedom Charter message: “…equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them…” Declaration of Independence, Preamble.

The risk of not acting on this ‘woke’ invasion would result in the distinct possibility of losing not only our places of worship but ultimately our freedom to gather to hear the Word of God by future generations.

But here’s the Truth.

As more Americans are turning to spiritualism there is rising opposition to the Left’s secular message, but we are not hearing a unified voice of support from you, our Spiritual Leaders. Some yes, some no. We are not asking you to express political policy views but rather to address the truths found in Americas foundation as it relates to the Bible. This is our battle, and we need motivation.

We are afraid of losing the virtues of Nature’s God in the lives of our progeny. Our Freedom Charters come from the Bible’s long history. In addition, our foundation was formulated over several millennia of common law, plus we’ve been given the gift of free will and reason. This is about building the confidence to reverse Fear over Faith.

Today, the threat against our Nations Spiritual Foundation is based on a lie. That there is a Constitutional directive known as the “separation of church and state,” that we must obey. That lie has been normalized by progressives and even accepted by some in the faith.

A short history: A series of Supreme Court decisions from 1925 through 1940 weakened the “establishment of religion” clause and strengthened the Court. In 1946 in Girouard v. U.S. the Justices wrote the law that Congress couldn’t or wouldn’t do by defining the relationship between government and religion.

In the Everson v. Board of Education 1947 ruling, Justice Hugo Black added three words to the Courts doctrine, giving a revolutionary new concept to the First Amendment. It weakened the “establishment clause” even more. He added, “That wall must be kept high and impregnable. We could not approve the slightest breach.” That is how Jefferson’s “wall” was introduced into the interpretation of the First Amendment. *

Thomas Jefferson’s quote comes from a letter to the Baptist Association in Danbury CT on January 1, 1802. It was in response to their concerns regarding fears over religious liberty. Here’s part of his reply:

“…, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should “make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, thus building a wall of separation between church and state.”  He did not intend for a future Justice to spin and twist the words into something they are not.

Jefferson’s ‘wall’ message essentially reinforced the First Amendment’s definition of ‘freedom of’, versus ‘freedom from’, religion. Jefferson’s ‘wall’ referred to the ‘establishment’ clause, whereas the courts, starting in 1947, have erroneously applied it to the ‘exercise’ clause. The Courts have created interpretations to suit their personal narrative.

But lower courts have assumed the validity of ‘freedom from.’ The recent Bremerton High School Coach Joseph Kennedy is a case in point. The coach was fired for exercising his freedom OF religion and his “free exercise thereof;” in prayer at a public event. Kennedy was recently exonerated by the Supreme Court. As you know, this is only one of many examples.

However, there is a contradiction here. The federal government has a long history of supporting religion from the Nation’s beginning through today. On January 3, 1802, two days after writing his Danbury letter, President Jefferson attended church services in the chambers of the U.S. House of Representatives which he continued to do for the rest of his Presidency. And others followed him.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi opened the Congressional session in January 2022, by asking the Congressional Chaplain to give the invocation. He delivered a prayer.

The lie that America did not come into existence without God, if allowed to continue, will eventually destroy her. “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” – John Adams

In other words, our Freedom Charters are words on parchment requiring men and women of character to remind, teach, motivate, and lead us to the Truth in our spiritual battle.

John Jay, one of the authors of the Federalist Papers and our very first Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court noted:

“Every member of the state ought to diligently read and to study the constitution of this county and teach the rising generation to be free. By knowing their rights, they will sooner perceive when they are violated, and be the better prepared to defend and assert them.”

If you are speaking out, encouraging your parishioners to better understand and defend our Freedom Charters in the name of God, thank you! If you’re concerned about legal issues, please ask for help.**

“Turn your steps toward these everlasting ruins, all this destruction the enemy has brought on the sanctuary.” Psalm 74:3
