THREE EQUAL BRANCHES

My dad says balance is carrying the same weight,
And that our government shares that fate.
Just like a teacher who checks my work
Three equal branches are on alert.
If one branch tries to abuse its power
The other two branches will not cower.
These protections were written down in law
On the prettiest document you ever saw.
The U.S. Constitution is a beautiful thing
The very best law, and what we need.
It’s yours, it’s mine and has stood the test
Our Founders knew it would be the best.
Balance of power, in branches three
Make America the very best place to be!
